Ceylon Serenity
Private villas among palms above a secluded beach on Sri Lanka’s South Coast at dawn

Sri Lanka

European clinical excellence, in a serene beachfront setting.

Ceylon Serenity Recovery is South Asia’s premier clinical addiction and recovery institution — integrating Western evidence-based addiction psychiatry with authentic Ayurvedic detoxification across fifteen private villas.

A clinical service export institution

Not a resort with therapy. A clinic with sanctuary.

CSR is conceived first as a regulated medical institution — licensed under Sri Lanka’s statutory frameworks for drug dependency treatment and private medical care, led by SLMC-registered clinicians, and built toward Joint Commission International accreditation.

Hospitality is the setting, never the product. Every element of the villa environment — seclusion, discretion, nutrition, rhythm of the day — is designed in service of clinical outcomes for international clients who expect the standards of Zurich or Harley Street.

The clinical moat

Two medical traditions. One integrated care plan.

A therapeutic integration no European clinic can replicate at source: consultant-led addiction psychiatry, combined with classical Ayurvedic detoxification practised in its country of origin.

01

Evidence-Based Addiction Psychiatry

Consultant-led protocols drawn from European best practice: medically supervised withdrawal, pharmacotherapy where indicated, CBT, DBT and trauma-informed psychotherapy, delivered under a European Psychiatric Advisory Board.

02

Authentic Ayurvedic Detoxification

Classical Panchakarma, a 5,000-year-old purification tradition, delivered by registered Ayurvedic physicians and integrated with the clinical care plan rather than offered alongside it.

03

Dual-Diagnosis Pathways

Concurrent assessment and treatment of addiction alongside anxiety, depression and trauma, so the underlying drivers of dependency are treated as one clinical picture.

04

Digital Aftercare Continuum

A structured post-discharge framework of remote therapy, relapse-prevention check-ins and coordinated hand-back to the referring clinician in the client’s home country.

Structured pathways, priced with clarity.

All programmes are medically supervised, include a private villa, and are priced and billed in USD or EUR.

The strategic moat

The same clinical standard, at roughly half the cost.

Sri Lanka’s clinical operating cost base allows CSR to deliver European-grade care at a decisive price advantage — a structural moat for clients, referrers and insurers alike.

The setting

Fifteen villas. Complete seclusion.

A boutique clinical campus designed for privacy and continuous medical supervision, set within a tropical coastline long favoured by discerning international travellers.

Southern Coast

Established luxury coastal hospitality infrastructure.

1.5 hours from CMB

Direct Southern Expressway access from Bandaranaike International Airport.

Absolute discretion

Fifteen self-contained villas, private transfers and strict confidentiality protocols.

Statutory foundations

Built on three legal pillars.

CSR operates within Sri Lanka’s established regulatory architecture — a high barrier to entry that protects clients, partners and capital.

I

Drug Dependent Persons (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act, No. 54 of 2007

National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB)

Licensed exclusively under the voluntary admission pathway for international clients. CSR is working to help define a new “Premium Care” regulatory standard for Sri Lanka.

II

Private Medical Institutions (Registration) Act, No. 21 of 2006

Private Health Services Regulatory Council (PHSRC)

Registered as a private medical institution. Every clinician holds a verified Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) registration.

III

Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Act (Wellness Tourism Route)

Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI)

5–12 year corporate tax holidays, customs duty exemptions on specialist medical and construction imports, 100% foreign ownership and constitutionally guaranteed 100% profit repatriation.

Pursuing Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation to support international insurer reimbursement.
